At ICIBC we are proud to host students who come from all types of backgrounds, locations, and churches. All of our students are hungry for a move of God and are growing in their relationships with God.
During the week, they work normal jobs, but they commit to come to class every Tuesday night, and they also commit to serving at least 8 hours per month in their local churches and communities. Their hearts are to serve people.
All enrolled students are required to serve at least 8 hours a month within their local church known as Ministry Practicum. The Ministry Practicum allows our students to receive hands-on ministry while learning the importance of serving the Body of Christ in every position. Serving in the local church can take on many forms:
- Pastoral Care
- Worship Team
- Child Care
- Janitorial Services
- Traffic Director
- ICIBC Helps
- Altar Services
- And Many Others…
While serving in the local church our students are able to take the knowledge they receive in class and apply those truths in everyday life.
While attending ICIBC Mobile students will be given the opportunity to change the community in which they live with practical outreach. Simply offering time and work to your community can change countless lives for the Kingdom of God. ICIBC Mobile has partners throughout Mobile who are consistently in need of volunteer help. While these outreaches are not mandatory for students, they are highly encouraged for each student to be active in their community.
- Boys & Girls Club
- Community Cleaning Days
- Food Bank
- Soup Kitchens
- Event Volunteers
- Nursing Home
At ICIBC we believe and know that every student is able to transform their community with the love and power of God. By giving chances to reach out with their faith our students will not only receive the knowledge they need but they will come to know how to apply that knowledge in their personal life and community.
The heart for any thriving Christian is missions. To see the poor fed, the lost found, and the hurting healed. ICIBC believes in missions and encourages each student and church represented at ICIBC to take part in mission work. We have a mission trip planned for our students every year that will enrich and change their lives forever. The location of our missions change from year to year and will be announced during our orientation every August.
Again this is not a requirement for your chosen degree programs but each student and church is encouraged to take part in the missions work of ICIBC.
ICIBC tuition does not cover the cost of the Missions Program. Each student will be given tools and helps to raise the money they need for their missions trip if they desire to take part in it.
